Nancy Poulos has worked in engineering consulting for over 20 years and is the Owner of Athena Consulting, Inc. which she established in 2010.  Nancy has experience in the structural design of new and existing structures both onshore and offshore.  She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Tulane University in 1994.  In 1995 she joined Petro-Marine Engineering in New Orleans, LA. and began her career in the design of offshore structures.  She worked there until 1997 when she joined Atlas Engineering, Inc. in a similar role.  She then moved to Virginia where she spent the next few years working for consultant companies in the design of various onshore facilities.  Some of the projects included upgrades to facilities at Phillip Morris, Virginia Power, and Merck.  In 2002, Nancy then moved to Houston, TX. to return to work at Atlas Engineering, which was acquired by Foster Wheeler in 2009.  There, she managed the structural engineering department of the upstream division.  In 2010, Nancy opened Athena Consulting and worked exclusively as a consultant for Apache Corporation as part of their decommissioning team handling all structural issues relating to Well P&A and Platform Removals.  Under Nancy’s direction, Athena Consulting provides structural engineering consulting services for both onshore and offshore companies.  Nancy is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Virginia, Texas and Lousiana.
